MANUFACTURING LABORATORY

“Additive manufacturing” is the process that is based on the manufacture or production of parts from a 3D model by the successive placement of layers of material. Additive manufacturing has multiple applications and in different areas such as: in the field of medicine, design of parts for transport, the field of design and architecture, to name a few. De Lorenzo proposes the FABLAB didactic system, which is a fundamental laboratory to help the student to advance in the first steps in the world of 3D modeling. The laboratory, which consists of a high-performance 3D printer and a comprehensive teaching manual, aims to guide the student through a complete experience without precedent, from the mental conception of an object, according to specific needs, to its physical production.
