Fluid mechanics is the study of the behavior of fluids under the action of applied forces. On a microscopic scale, matter, and in particular a fluid is composed of molecules at a certain average distance with empty space between them. These molecules are continuously moving and colliding with each other.
An accurate analysis of any problem is based on the study of a molecule or group of molecules in the fluid. It can be divided into fluid statics (or hydrostatics, the study of fluids at rest) and fluid dynamics (the study of the effect of forces on the movement of fluids).
De Lorenzo’s didactic systems are composed of a hydraulic bench with a closed water circulation circuit whose various parameters such as flow, pressure or flow rate are adjustable, on which are mounted accessories dedicated to the demonstration and study of the main laws and foundations of Fluid Mechanics.
With our equipment students will learn, theoretically and experimentally, the didactic objectives proposed in their study programs, developing the competencies that the industry requires in a wide range of applications, which include mechanical engineering, civil engineering.
